EYE SPY

SOLO SHOW - KYOGLE ROXY GALLERY

NOVEMBER 8 - DECEMBER 9 2017

Jenny's latest solo exhibition 'Eye Spy' was shown in November/December at the Roxy Gallery. This small local gallery is a wonderful asset to the town of Kyogle and has been exhibiting the work of local artists for around twenty years. Jenny's exhibition 'Eye Spy' exhibited artworks which alluded to the different ways in which we can view the world, especially when we enhance our focus by using artificial viewing devices such as magnifying glasses and binoculars. Showing in an adjacent space was the exhibition 'Eclectic Mix' with work by Deborah and Rodney Brown.

'Spliced: future perfect?'

Linocut scroll with cut-out areas

Jenny’s lino print scroll Spliced: future perfect?’ has been selected for the Burnie Print Prize 2017, a prestigious print exhibition which is held every two years in Tasmania. The print is composed from a combination of linocut panels printed on thin Japanese paper with cut away areas, which create a delicate filigree appearance, the intention of which is to highlight the plight of some of the plant pollinators, especially bees.
