Rules of the game:

-You have nine letters from which to choose (could be A to I, could be Q to Z, could be a broken run of A,D,E,I,L,N,O,R, and T, etc.) and they must go into the Reigate Squares grid the same way you would place the digits 1 thru 9 on a Sudoku grid: no repeating letter in any 3×3 sub-grid or in any single column or row.

-Once you’ve figured out how the nine letters are placed within the Reigate Squares grid, take the nine letters (while considering how many could be repeated) and find the FINAL answer to the entire puzzle (sometimes a clue will be given that could help unscramble everything, like “Who was Sherlock Holmes’ partner and biographer?” If the letters given are A, C, D, N, O, R, S, T, and W and you are told that ALL letters are used only once EXCEPT for T [used twice] and O [used THREE times], it should be an easy case to come up with “DOCTOR WATSON”.)

Clue for this puzzle (originally posted in The Whaling News, January 2019): In this month’s story, “The Adventure of Blue Carbuncle” [BLUE], what entity was the original go-between for the sold geese? Good Luck!
