The Bow Badgers Board have released the following statement:-

Over the past few days there have been reams of paper printed with articles speculating on the future of Bow Badgers manager Jay Leonard. Since the resignation of Fabio Capello many high profile faces have been calling for Harry Redknapp to replace Mr Capello as England football manager. A smaller but still significant number of names have also been suggesting Jay Leonard as an alternative. It seems that the nation are keen on an English wheeler dealer man to be the new selector in chief. We, the Bow Badgers board, have sat down with Jay and have collectively decided to respond to the media circus surrounding our beloved club. Jay would like to thank the Bow Hos, Honey Badgers, Badgerettes and the team for their support this week. He has been touched by your passion for the club and want for him to be a Badger for life. As England fans ourselves we understand and agree with some of the comments the big names of football have been quoted as saying. Dimitar Radev said "It has to be Jay blud". Nii Lamptey highlighted Jay's excellent knowledge of the free transfer market and Chris Billy commended Jay as "being the only manager that gives 30 somethings a chance". We decided that Jay was free to talk to the F.A. about filling the vacant post but are delighted to announce that he won't be going anywhere. The following is a statement from our manager -"We are at the beginning of our journey as a club and I want to remain at the wheel of the boat that we are riding across stormy waters on, avoiding icebergs and jagged cliff things and accepting help from lighthouses and dolphins on the way. We are unbeaten in February and 2012 is the year of the Badger. We went to Sparta and won and we will reach the promised horizon of gold and..."

In other news, Snow Badger still missing.
