  • Art Source - the peak visual arts body, established 1986, engages with and supports Western Australian visual artists with practical, affordable and relevant services. Artsource is not-for-profit and supported financially by Government and many patrons, donors and sponsors.
  • Art Collective WA - established in 2013 with the aim of creating opportunities for significant Western Australian artists.
  • Aboriginal Art Centre Hub WA (AACHWA) - The Aboriginal Art Centre Hub of Western Australia (AACHWA) works with Aboriginal art centres across Western Australia to assist them to be seen, heard, respected and represented. We are the only Indigenous visual arts peak body based in Western Australia.
  • Community Arts Network (CAN) - creates positive social change through the arts, building inclusion and understanding between people.
  • National Association for the Visual Arts (NAVA) - leads advocacy, policy and action for a contemporary Australian arts sector that's ambitious and fair.

  • Council Australia > Visual Arts and Craft Strategy (VACS) - The Australia Council delivers the Visual Arts and Craft Strategy (VACS), a formal agreement between Commonwealth, State and Territory Governments that provides funding for the broadest range of visual media, including craft, design, media arts and visual arts. This support includes grants to living artists and funding for contemporary arts organisations as well as national and international exhibitions and events.

Calligraphy

  • Calligraphy Guild of WA - a non-profit organisation aiming to encourage, assist and extend the craft of calligraphy whilst having fun! Meets monthly and throughout the year also holds regular workshops with both local and international professional calligraphers. Includes links to suppliers, artists and sites of interest.

Web Design/Development

  • Australian Web Industry Association (AWIA) - as Port 80 Inc, originally established as a social network for web professionals in 2002, AWIA is a not-for-profit association which aims to: Further the advancement of the web industry within Australia, Educate the general public about the role of professionals in the web industry and Foster greater ties with like-minded organisations.
  • WIT WA is a Perth-based not for profit organisation providing a framework upon which women in I.C.T. industries can extend their network and expand their knowledge in an environment that encourages open conversation and debate.
  • Electronic Frontiers Australia Inc (EFA) is a non-profit national organisation representing Internet users concerned with on-line freedoms and rights.
  • Digital Labourers Federation - The DLF is a non-profit social group which acts as a contact point for people in the digital arts industry. Most members work in the game, television or film industries. However, anyone involved in the creation of digital media is welcome.

  • Finding Perth project - aims to celebrate our diverse cultural identity, increase access to the City’s cultural assets and highlight Perth’s truly unique history and heritage. Zoomable map of Perth Art and Culture sites.
  • Public Art Collection - The City of Perth regularly commissions public art in civic squares, streetscapes, parks and some unexpected places, recognising that the successful integration of site specific art enhances the enjoyment of the city experience. It recently adopted a Public Art Strategy, and many new public artworks are being delivered in new developments across the City.
