Class Descriptions

Chair Yoga - A form of yoga that is practiced sitting in a chair, or using a chair for support in standing poses. Often the Poses, or Asanas, are adaptations of Hatha yoga poses. No floor work; sneaker friendly.

Dance Fitness - This class combines high/low intensity cardio with fun music, as well as strength work for all major muscle groups and ends with a stretch. This is a great workout for all fitness levels. (use light hand weights or water bottles, cans of vegetables/fruit; mat, sometimes floor work)

Gentle Mat Yoga - A “Union” of body, mind & spirit. Yoga benefits all ages & abilities. Improve your strength & flexibility. Often quite beneficial to relieve chronic pain. An excellent program for beginners and those with challenges with flexibility. Very relaxing, improves sleep, decrease anxiety, help slow aging. Many feel increases in energy & stamina along with heightened sense of well-being & calm.

Pilates Mat - Pilates is a combination of low impact movements based on the concepts developed by Joseph Pilates to train and condition the body from the inside out. It is an exercise style that effectively trains and works the "core" muscles of the body and to create strong and lean muscles without the bulk. Our classes focus is on basic Pilates principles of awareness, breath, centering, concentration, control, flowing movement, and precision. Challenging yet safe for all ages and fitness levels.

PWR!Moves -This class is designed for participants who have movement disorders, for example, Parkinson’s, Dystonia, Ataxia, etc. Members will learn how to use high effort, muscle activation for bigger movements, better posture, balance, and everyday FUNction such as walking, turning, rising from a chair, or floor, buttoning, and speaking. (various equipment: towel, light weights, noodle, book/yoga block, strap)

STRONG Nation™ 30* - combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. Every squat, every lunge, every burpee is driven by the music, helping you make it to that last rep, and maybe even five more.

Zumba® - A fun Latin music based aerobic program which uses moves from basic Latin dances. You get a cardio workout while dancing and having fun. Get a boost of energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.
