ASJ- All Saints Juniors

ASJ meets on the 1st Sunday during the regular service from 10 to 11am. After a brief introduction we go into the parish rooms where there is an opportunity to learn more about Christianity.

We use stories from the Old and New Testament. Through a range of age-appropriate activities involving craft, drama, games and music, we try to understand the stories and apply them to our lives today. We join the adults in church to receive a blessing at the communion, followed by refreshments for all.

We hope that all the children will enjoy ASJ and make friends, as well as grow in faith.

We are very grateful to Jill, a very experienced teacher, for coordinating this work, and to the children for coming, younger and older. Help is always welcome; as with all work with children there is a DBS procedure for new volunteers to ensure safeguarding standards are met. Do speak with Jill Murray or Neil and Yvonne if you would like to be involved. We are also hoping to develop Open the Book, a way of telling Bible stories through short sketches or playlets with commentary and prayer.
