Era Dancers

We are always looking for Volunteers to join our group, both Ladies and Gentlemen.

Volunteers need to be...

Willing to learn, perform, and teach others dances from the 1700's and the 1800's.

Willing to make, buy, or borrow period-correct clothing.

1860's style dresses and hair for ladies.

Pants, shirts, ties, vests, coats for gentlemen.

Smooth sole shoes and white gloves for both.

Ask if you need help.

Monies/Proceeds are donated for battlefield preservation through:

1. Civil War Trust ( a national organization civilwar.org )

2. Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation shenandoahatwar.org

SVCWEDancers-

We will have practice sessions for the group.

We will have free public dance lessons.

We will demonstrate dances at Civil War Balls and other events.

We will encourage audience participation and assist them with the moves.
