Rain Garden Native Species Plants

What is a rain garden?

A rain garden is a shallow depression in a yard planted with a variety of deep-rooted, flowers, shrubs and grasses that “don’t mind getting their feet wet.”

Rain gardens help soak up runoff from downspouts, driveways, and parking lots to reduce flooding and filter out pollutants before they reach our waterways.

By using many types of native species plants, we provide wildlife habitat & food for birds, bees and butterflies.

You can build a rain garden too!
