Longhorsley Local History Society

The group held a successful open evening in January and our visitors enjoyed looking at some of our photo collection, maps and a delightful video of the New Year’s Eve party in the Village Hall for the Millennium.

Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 12th March, 7pm for 7.30pm, and our speaker, Martin Light, will regale us with tales of a renowned local family, the Good Sharps.

New Year, new look - we will be providing tea and coffee from 7pm, feel free to bring a bottle if you prefer and seating will be at small tables rather than our usual rows.

Come along and meet new people and old friends and enjoy the talk. All are welcome, entry is free.

Longhorsley WI

Unfortunately due to a recent bout of Covid, our Speaker in January Andy Craig, was unable to sing but his guitar playing beautifully accompanied his stunning photos of nature and Northumbrian scenes.

On Thursday 1st February we will be holding the Members Craft night which was postponed in November due to the wet weather.

For any information regarding future visits please contact:

Audrey Wiggins on 788692 or swigginsa@btinternet.com
