Policies and Rules

COVID Vaccination and testing

We updated our COVID policy May 10, 2023. Check the Safety Measures and COVID Policy page for full information.

Note that in addition to what was required on the registration form, we now ALSO REQUIRE that each participant test with a rapid antigen test just before leaving for camp, and present proof of a negative test at check-in.

Masking policy

Face masks to impede transmission of COVID-19 and other diseases are strongly encouraged but not required at June Camp 2023. However, to make everyone feel safe and comfortable, and to be considerate of other participants we ask you to keep a mask handy and wear it :

We also encourage participants to mask when in crowds during  the week prior to camp and require a negative rapid test the day of arrival at camp. Well-fitting, multi-layer, high quality (e.g. N-95 type) face masks are preferred.

Alcohol is not allowed anywhere on the TIU campus. Any alcohol consumption  must occur at the hotel. We have reserved two conference rooms on the ground floor of the hotel for socializing and gathering for singing and crafts. One room will be modestly stocked with beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and snacks. If you’d like to bring drinks (including alcohol) for yourself or for others to share, please feel free to do so. We welcome contributions to the supplies in the hospitality rooms – please arrange to give items directly to a committee member without bringing them on to campus.  You MAY NOT keep any alcohol in dorm rooms.

Video policy

June Camp, per our teachers' request this year, does not allow individuals to video any part of camp. The Dance Exchange taught by local teachers will be recorded by our official videographer, and those videos will be made available for download after campAll dances taught by the van Geels, including those of their part of the Dance Exchange, will be offered as part of their video package, which may be purchased when you register, or at camp. The videos will be sent to you directly by them by WeTransfer after camp

By downloading any June Camp recordings, you agree that they are intended for your private use and possession only. You may not share or post any of the videos on any social media, allow anyone else to download them, or copy and send any videos to anyone. You are, of course, free to play them for your friends, including online events as long as you are present. You are also not allowed to edit out any of the copyright information on the videos.
