Blatz Brewing Company was the fourth of the big Milwaukee brewers in 1957 when they released TEMPO BEER. The distilling company Schenley had bought the brewery during WWII, and the year after TEMPO was released Pabst would buy the company only to be forced to sell the brand in 1969 to Heileman due to anti-trust regulations after a decade of legal wrangling.
