1918 "War Beer" recipe

Copied from a small pocket United Brewery Workmen of America notebook. Unfortunately, the owner never filled out the "Indentification" section, so his name, position and the brewery at which he was employed are unknown. Notes elsewhere in the book (written in harder-to-read pencil) concerning labor and prohibition issues suggest it was a Detroit, Michigan area brewery.
