AC voltage ratings

Standard hydrocontrol configuration, see table below.

If you need higher ratings, e.g. because you want to transmit high voltage over power lines:

• varistors can be upgraded easily
• PCB mains AD input can be upgraded with additional 1MOhm resistors (2 in parallel! for Line 1)
• Power supply: a stepdown transformer might be a solution
• Triacs/SSRs: research needed
• optocouplers: add 1 Ohm per Volt peak in series to the triac gate

Notes:

The RMS value is the one you normally find on household appliances, e.g. 115V or 230V. This is an average, and the value measured by most digital multimeters.

The peak value is the the actual top value of the sine wave, if you would check with an oscilloscope.
