10 Functional check

Parts needed

    • filament light bulbs
    • mains power source
    • volt meter

Setup

    • Connect dummy loads (filament light bulbs) to all output channels.
    • Connect the hydrocontrol to a mains power source.

Testing

PCB

On power up, the display should come to life.

If not, check if 5V is present on the PCB.

Then if the LED "MCU running" is blinking.

If the LED is not blinking, reload the bootloader SW and the main SW.

Inputs

Go to input calibration, and check with the voltmeter, if the voltages are shown accurately. Adjust the correction factor, if necessary.

Outputs

Set the hydrocontrol operating mode to "output test", and switch all outputs on/off.

In case of problems, check the wiring. Are the MCBs on?

Regulating

Set the hydrocontrol operating mode to ELC or IGC, set the setpoint to your mains power source.

Set droop to 1%. The dump load percentage should level off at around 50%.
