Interviewing In A Qualitative Way

For Forum Institute in Utrecht I was occasionally an interviewer during my studies. All the interviews I did for them was on research about ethnicity.  The interviews were with experts and the public. The public was surveyed at:

• The ‘Zomercarnaval’ in Rotterdam before the start of the carnival

• Kwaku festival when they were setting it up.

These surveys where in the form that I asked the questions on paper exactly and filled in the answers on the survey.

Interviewing In a Qualitative Way

The experts on ethnicity research about how to solve problems related with ethnicity were interviewed in a different way. These interviews were conducted with a set of subjects and few starters’ questions about solving ‘Multikulti’ problems. I was free and encouraged to go deeper into the subject by asking questions that were related to the subject and relevant, but not on the list. I had to record these interviews.

Forum Institute was merged into various other NGOs working on ethnicity.
