Artists Statement

For as long as I can remember, I have had an affinity for textiles of all forms. Cottons, wools and silk that have been woven, knit, pieced and stitched. Similarly, I enjoy the art of collage, the miniature world, old treasures, and their enclosures, such as dollhouses, barns, sheds and boxes.

In my work I honor these lifelong joys together with small quilts, which are housed within their own homelike structures.

I use the traditional quilt making template as a form of artistic and emotional expression. My ideas, which are translated through pieced cloth, thread and mixed media, are generated from feelings and images relating to reflections and passions in my life.
