2010 Sprint Results

10-Dec: Happy Birthday Rudolph Sprint

Congratulations to this month's winners! Apparently, nobody found a Ham named Ruduolph, so standard scoring applied (minus states/Provinces).

    • DX Standard: YU8NU (Ciro)

    • DX QRP: YO5BBO (Hori)

    • North America Standard: K3QIA (Bob)

    • North America QRP: W8LEW (Lou)

Monthly survey: Well, this month we asked for suggestions for next years surveys. We got lots of suggestions and I'll be incorporating them starting next month.

10-Nov: South American Sprint

Congratulations to this month's winners!

    • DX Standard: YU8NU (Ciro)

    • DX QRP: EA3FHP (Josep)

    • North America Standard: KZ1Z (Pete)

    • North America QRP: W8LEW (Lou)

Note- We have a change in QRO NA winner due to a confusion in which continent an island belonged. Congrats to Pete, our new winner!

In our optional question, we asked how you handle QSLing. No big surprises here. With our small sample size, the 5% equates to one ham.

10-Oct: Spooky Sprint

    • DX Standard: YO5BBO (Hori)

    • DX QRP: M0SFR (Alex)

    • North America Standard: K3QIA (Bob Foster)

    • North America QRP: K3DCW (Dave Wright)

Note-YO5LN had the highest points in the DX QRP class, but was not a member at the time, so was not eligible to win. Remember, it costs nothing to enter!

In our optional question, we asked what software you used for feldhell. Sound familiar? Since I was desperate for a question, I figured I'd compare results from a previous survey to see if we are moving to a particular direction. Results below.

  • Optional question: This month we asked about signal reports. Not surprisingly, most of us (69%) give the 599 report all the time. Those who try to always give accurate reports account for 22%. Some of (6%) us try for accurate reports except during contests. One respondent answered "Please stop requiring RST for excange. 599 is silly!" Something to think about.

    • Note: Some entries were not added because they did not respond to queries regarding their scores. Please, keep an eye on your email (especially the spam

    • folder) for questions from the staff. If there are issues with the submission, we can't post those scores until they are resolved. Thanks!
