The NS Food Safety Guidelines for Breakfast Programs provide guidance to schools to implement proper food handling control measures and thereby reduce the risk of any food borne illnesses. Included is guidance on acceptable sources of food, facility considerations, equipment, handwashing, dishwashing, food handling practices, and other tips.

This video series was developed to provide volunteers (including students) involved with school food programming an overview of food safety. The video series is available in both English and French and includes 3 short videos, totaling approximately 35 minutes.
