FLOW a group exhibition of visual interpretations by 42 artists on the theme of water. March 13 through Earth Day, April 22, 2023. The exhibit includes artists from throughout the United States who work with a variety of aesthetic approaches to the theme, including environmental and climate change, water within cultures of the African Diaspora, history and beauty. Artists work with a variety of media, including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography and video, 3d sculptures and mobiles, new technology of AI, and augmented reality. This exhibition was developed from a request to Gallery Director Teresa Weidenbusch from Columbus-based arts advocate, dancer, and dance educator Loren Bucek to create a visual arts collaborative exhibition to complement the 2023 city-wide Columbus Global Water Dances. This event is an enterprise based on the International Global Water Dances, which has inspired water quality activism in more than 150 countries over the last 11 years.
