RIAT: restoring invisible and abandoned trials

RIAT offers a methodology to republish trials or parts of trials, or to publish an unpublished trial. The RIAT website went live on 1 May 2018.

• Restoring invisible and abandoned trials of gabapentin for neuropathic pain: a clinical and methodological investigation. This BMJ Open paper  describes the methods that Mayo-Wilson and co-authors will use to find trials using the RIAT methods.

• Restoring biomedical literature with RIAT.  This BMJ paper by Peter Doshi, Kay Dickersin, David Healy, Swaroop Vedula and Tom Jefferson encourages funders and researchers of abandoned studies to publish and seeks to generate discussion on how to promote publication of invisible trials.
