Are you looking for A fun and exciting Junior Development Program for children, ages 4-13, where they can get outside, be active, make connections, and learn how to cross-country ski from our group of well-trained and experienced skiers? Look no further and register for one of our programs listed below today!

Bunny Rabbits

For the youngest of our participants, those under 6, we have the Bunny Rabbits program. Our Bunnies enjoy learning through play, with games designed to develop their balance and beginner snow skills, as they start their journey towards cross-country skiing!

Due to the age of the Bunny Rabbits being 4-6 years old, we ask, at the instructor's discretion, that A parent be willing to accompany and participate in sessions along with their child. For those who wish, snowshoes are available to use while participating in a Bunny Rabbit session.

Jackrabbits

For participants ages 6-10 we have our Jackrabbits program. This program covers four important cross-country skill sets, basic, classical, skating, and downhill. Like the Bunnie Rabbits, games are used to introduce each new skill and as a fun way to practice technique.

In addition, the Jackrabbit participants, are recognized for their achievements in speed and level completion. They are also awarded a snow goal for taking part in organized outings between sessions.

Track Attack

For participants ages 11-13 who want to take their cross-country skiing skills to the next level as teenage athletes.  Through their hard work and dedication, many of our Track Attack participants have earned a place on either the Menihek Nordic Club Ski team or the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Ski team.

Ski Playground

Young skiers gravitate towards the ski playground because it is a fun adventure, and an exciting way to explore and practice their skills naturally as they discover each new challenge. It is also a vital part of our Junior Development program because it emphasizes learning through play.
