The Menihek Nordic Ski Club plays host to family-friendly and competitive cross-country events year round.

We say Run for the hill of it!  First up on the fall event calendar for Menihek Nordic Ski Club is the annual Run For The Hills late September to early October. Bring the whole family out for an afternoon of fun and a little exercise. 

To begin our ski season, which normally starts early to mid-November, Menihek Nordic host the XCNL ski team "On Snow" training camp along with Masters training.

The early start to our season allows us to host the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Team and Masters skiiers from around the country. This full week of training culminates in the NL Cup race series 1 & 2. 

This coming year, Menihek will be proud to host the 49th annual Great Labrador Loppet on March 30th, 2024. This all-ages event offers athletes opportunities to challenge themselves through our different course options, which traverse throughout the wilderness of Labrador West. The trails are groomed for both classic and skate skiing with refreshment stations positioned along the way. Snowshoers are also encouraged to get in on the Loppet fun! 

Distances are:

-2.5 km for kids

-10, 20, & 30 km for adults

Menihek Nordic is pleased to announce that we will be hosting the Canadian National Championship from March 20th-23rd, 2024

The Iron City Duathlon, hosted by Menihek Nordic is a biking and running event for all ages to fill in the gap between winter and summer events. This exhilarating event will take place June 15th, 2024 at 10 am.
