President  Melissa Giles

I am looking forward to serving as your president this year. I’ve been sewing most of my life, I started quilting about 13 years ago after my oldest child was born. I also enjoy making bags and occasionally clothing.

I am married and we have two boys, 13(almost 14) and 11. They keep us busy with sports and scouts. We have become a scouting family. My husband is the Scoutmaster for their troop and I recently took over planning the Court of Honor.

Margie started quilting when she retired and moved to COlorado in 2016. She soon found herself drawn to the modern esthetic and loves the acceptance and encouragement she has found in this wonderful and talented group of quilters. 

Margie enjoys planning her quilts (i.e. fabric shopping) and piecing.
