UW Life Sciences Building by Perkins+Will

Meeting location: construction site on NE Pacific Street between 15th Ave NE & Montlake Blvd NE, across from UW School of Public Health

Meet at Skanska trailer across NE Pacific from the site.

Led by Devin Kleiner, Architecture students from Jim Nicholls’s Materials course, as well as students and faculty from the Department of Construction Management, will attend.

REQUIRED personal safety gear (please bring your own gear if you can):

*Hard hat

*Safety glasses (unless the person needs prescription eyewear)

*Gloves

*Safety vest

*Closed-toe construction-appropriate shoes (boots highly preferred)

*Long pants (no shorts or skirts)

*Shirts (preferably long-sleeved, but-short sleeved ok)

In 2017, tours focused on the Burke Museum and the Montlake Light Rail Substation/Montlake Triangle.

In 2016, the team planned and led Architecture and Construction Management students on 3 tours of projects currently under construction on the UW main campus: Denny Hall: 1/19, 1/26, 1/28, 3pm. 8 students per tour

Future tours may include Kane Hall, the Burke Museum, UW Police Station, and Molecular Biology.
