We would recommend that unless your doctor is particularly experienced in diagnosing PD, and you decide to get a second opinion, you should consult with a movement disorders specialist. 25 percent are initial diagnosed wrong. But a neurologist with specialized "movement training" can offer additional insight. UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke University are PD Centers of Excellence. They offer a team evaluation concept with physical, speech and phycological evaluations. Wake Med also offer DBS
