Maindee Youth project acknowledges and values the diversity in Maindee and looks to bring young people from various backgrounds together. Funded by BBC Children In Need the project is designed to engage with children and young people up to the age of 18 in the Maindee community.
Maindee Youth project acknowledges and values the diversity in Maindee and looks to bring young people from various backgrounds together. Funded by BBC Children In Need the project is designed to engage with children and young people up to the age of 18 in the Maindee community.
Maindee Youth Project is led by the interests and need of young people, therefore is very flexible. We are based at Community House on Eton Road, Newport, NP19 0BL, where we provide young people with a space to be supported by youth workers in youth club sessions, offering opportunities to meet others and take part in multi-sports, cooking, various projects, trips and programmes.
Drop in and youth club sessions run on Mondays 5-7pm, and Thursdays 6-8pm.
We also have a project for girls that takes place on Wednesdays 5-6pm, and Fridays 5-7pm, which is run by female staff and involves multi sports, arts and crafts, team building and cooking.
