Rósborg Halldórsdóttir

Rósborg was born and raised in Iceland but moved to Sheridan, WY in 2016. She graduated from Sheridan College with an A.F.A. in Music in 2018 before transferring to a four year institution. In 2020 she graduated with a B.M. in Trumpet Performance from the University of Wyoming where she studied with Dr. Scott Meredith. During her undergraduate years she was active both in regards to the performing scene as well as research and education. In 2018 she published a children's book through creative commons on music theory as a part of a capstone project. As an upperclassman she got involved with historically informed performances as well as research and pedagogy revolving around the natural trumpet. She is currently working towards her M.M. in Trumpet Performance at the Schwob School of Music in Columbus, GA under the guidance of Dr. Robert Murray and is expecting to graduate in the Spring of 2022. During her final year in the Master´s program she is going to be writing a research paper and giving recitals concerning ornamentation of baroque trumpet literature. Rósborg is an active member of the International Trumpet Guild and works as an archivist for the association.
