Renzo DeCarlo

Renzo DeCarlo (he/him/his) is a junior at Florida State University (FSU) pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in Clarinet Performance with minors in Economics, French, and a certificate in Music Entrepreneurial Studies. Renzo is from Orlando, Florida where he spent time as a musician in pit orchestras for musicals, a substitute member of the Space Coast Symphony, and teaching private clarinet lessons. Recently, Renzo was a part of the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) at FSU where he explored the role of computational analysis in counterpoint. Renzo’s current research continues his work with computational analysis of music and explores musical origins in antiquity. He is currently on the executive board of a new student organization at FSU that performs and produces studio recordings of film and video game music.
