Megan Wright will be graduating from Florida State University with her undergraduate degree in Instrumental Music Education in Fall 2021. She is a member of the oboe studio and has taken multiple courses in special music education. During her time at FSU, she has served as Advocacy Chair and Secretary for FSU NAfME Collegiate as well as Vice President and President for the Beta Alpha chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota. She also served as State Advocacy Chair for FL NAfME Collegiate in 2021. Her research interests include secondary music education and she recently completed an honors thesis project on assessment methods in secondary instrumental ensembles under the direction of Dr. Gregory Springer. This project was selected to be presented at the FSU Undergraduate Music Research Symposium. Megan plans to teach middle school band before returning to seek advanced degrees in the future.
