Face coverings

  • There is no longer a universal masking mandate. Masks are not required in any of our schools, district buildings, or on school buses. If a student or staff member wears a mask, whether by choice, expectation, or requirement, they will be allowed to do so. It is expected that each individual’s right to mask or not is free from stigmatization, bullying, or being made to feel uncomfortable.

  • When an individual tests positive for COVID-19, they must remain in isolation on days 1 through 5, and can be released from isolation on day 6 as long as a well-fitting mask is worn through day 10. Masking on days 6 through 10 is not an option, and those refusing to mask will not be permitted to attend school through the end of day 10.

  • Masking and testing are recommended for asymptomatic individuals following exposure, especially higher risk exposures such as presence of someone with COVID-19 in the household and for individuals who are not up to date on their vaccinations.
