Grade 11 Courses

Grade 11 students must take a minimum of 7 courses.  (3 Compulsory courses and 4 or 5 Elective courses)

Note: Grade 11 and 12 students may take a Day E-Learning Course.  This course is a fully a-synchronous course and is designed for the independent learner.  Please contact your guidance counsellor for more information and for a list of available courses for grade 11 students.  ENG 3U is the recommended pre-requisite for all 4M/4U courses.

Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT)

The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) measures whether students are meeting the minimum standard for literacy across all subjects up to the end of Grade 9. Successful completion of the literacy test is one of the requirements to earn an Ontario Secondary School Diploma.  All students across the province write this test on the same date each year.

The OSSLT re-writes for students in Grade 11 who have not written the OSSLT or who were not successful in Grade 10 or in the fall of Grade 11 will be on Friday, April 21, 2023 with Mr. Salvas and M. Cappadocia during Lunch B.

The TCDSB has updated the Guidelines for Community Service

Reminder:  40 Hours of Community Sevice is a graduation requirement and it is recommended that you complete these 40 hours BEFORE your grade 12 year.
