The Willow Creek was again honored with publication in the 2023 National Model Railroad Association (NMRA) Calendar. The photo shown below appears as the cover for the month of January.
A photo of the Willow Creek Subdivision was featured in the April 2022 issue of Model Railroader magazine's Trackside Photos section. The photo shows the caboose servicing area in the Subdivision's Waverly Yard.

Walthers' 2020 Model Railroad Reference Book included two photos of the Willow Creek. Both pictures, shown below, appeared on section introduction pages in the book (page 455 and page 675).

The Willow Creek Railroad has also had photos published in Walthers' HO Reference Book for many years. Most recently, a photo was published in Walthers' 2019 Model Railroad Reference Book. This year, Walthers only included 41 photos in their "Magic of Model Railroading" section; in past years they've published over 100 photos in the section. The Willow Creek is honored to have been one of those selected.
This photo (page 474) shows car ferry operations at Bucky's Crossing.
Walthers' 2017 HO Reference Book included three pictures of the Willow Creek in the "Magic of Model Railroading" section as part of their 85th Anniversary Edition book.
The first picture appears on page 565, and shows the river port town of Bucky's Crossing and features my scratch-built 60-ton AGEIR boxcab diesel locomotive.
The second picture (page 577) shows one of the layout's steam locomotives emerging from a tunnel at Piper's Gap.
The third picture (page 581) is one of my favorites and shows the River City Limited passenger train leaving Waverly Yard, and passing by the local folks' favorite cafe, Sarah's Rail Yard Cafe.
Walthers' 2016 HO Reference Book included three photos of the Willow Creek Railroad in the "Magic of Model Railroading" section of the book.
The first picture appears on page 622, and shows the busy Waverly Yard.
The second picture (page 626) shows switching action on the siding at Lookout Pass.
The third picture (page 633) is again in Waverly Yard, but this time shows a "night time" shot of the 4-8-2 Mountain configuration steam engine illuminated by the yard's flood lights.
Walthers' 2015 HO Reference Book included the following photos of the Willow Creek Railroad .
One picture appears in the "Magic of Model Railroading" section, page 599, with a description augmented by the editors of the book.
A second picture appears on the title page to the "Couplers Trucks" section (page 217), along with a description created by the editors.
Walthers' 2014 HO Reference Book included two photos of the Willow Creek Railroad. The first photo was published as part of "The Magic of Model Railroading" section.
A picture of the model railroad and a corresponding description of the picture, created by the editors of the book, appeared on page 606 of the 2014 Reference Book.
A second picture of the Willow Creek Railroad appeared on the title page to the Reference Book's "Train Sets" section (page 29), with a corresponding description, again created by the editors.
