2023 - COVID Corner: Repeat Infection and Long COVID Risks – Online webinar designed for health care professionals but open to the public. Series hosted by the University of Calgary Office of Continuing Medical Education and Professional Development . 

2022 - University of Calgary Mini-Medical School public lecture on Efficacy of vaccination and therapies for COIVD 

2022 – Canadian Society for Immunology Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Workshop – organizer, speaker and facilitator for a workshop where small groups conveyed EDI experiences, perception of barriers and development of actionable steps to address these inequities.

2022 – Canadian Society for Immunology Mentorship and Career Development Workshop –facilitator for a workshop where small groups of trainees from CSI met to ask questions regarding transitioning from trainee to investigator and on science communication.

2022 – University of Calgary Snyder Institute Trainee Committee Immunology Career Day – Speaker and panel member for the discussion of immunology and research with visiting high school students. Co-presented with Dr. Kathy McCoy and Dr. Nathan Peters

2022 - UCalgary Community Engagement Webinar: Unpacking Vaccine Hesitancy – Online panel discussion for the public on vaccine rates, hesitancy and the future hosted by the Cumming School of Medicine. Co-presented with Dr. Sajjad Fazel

2022 - COVID Corner: Reflections After Two Years on the COVID Roller Coaster – Online webinar designed for health care professionals but open to the public. Series hosted by the University of Calgary Office of Continuing Medical Education and Professional Development. Co-presented with Dr. Lynora Saxinger, Dr. Cora Constantinescu, Dr. Gabe Fabreau, Dr. April Elliot, Dr. Christine Luelo and Dr. Braden Manns 

2021 – Present on the current state of COVID to the University of Calgary Senate – Provided perspective of how the University has responded to COVID, the current situation and future considerations with emphasis on mental health and the role of the University as a leader in the community. 

2021 – Presented for the Calgary YPO (Young Presidents Organization) on the real-world COVID experience. Audience was made up of approximately 30 company Presidents, CEOs, Chairman of the Board, Managing Directors, or Managing Partners. Co-presented with Dr. Laura Arias, CEO of Medicine by Design Inc.

2021 – Presented for the Women’s Canadian Club of Calgary on how the immune system works – invited as a keynote speaker to discuss the immune system with more than 100 members of this 110-year-old Calgary community group. 

2021 – Presented for the Calgary Women’s Friendship Group – presentation on COVID-19 and vaccination to a group of 16 community members and their families.

2021 – Presented for the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology’s (SAIT) employee information session on COVID vaccination. Presented with Dr. David Ross (SAIT President and CEO).

2021 – Panel Member for the Calgary Area Medical Staff Society and the Edmonton Zone Medical Staff Association’s media event – Physicians fear rapid incline of third wave of COVID-19 variant crisis – media availability to call for enhanced restrictions to curb the COVID-19 third wave in Alberta. Panel members included Dr. James Talbot, Dr. Gosia Gasperowicz, Dr. Daniel Niven, Dr. Shazma Mithani. Hosted by Dr. Scott Beach and Dr Cheryl Mack.

2021 – Panel Member for CBC Alberta’s Facebook Live Event on a “Ask the Experts: Everything you need to know about COVID-19 vaccines” moderated by Nancy Carlson. Panel members included Dr. Cheri Nijssen-Jordan from Alberta's vaccine taskforce and Edmonton ER Dr. Shazma Mithani.

2021 – Presenter The COVID-19 Safety for Patients with Liver Disease Webinar hosted by the Canadian Liver Foundation and the Canadian Association for the Study of Liver. Co-presented with Dr. Jordan Feld

2021 – Moderator/Host for University of Calgary Mini-Medical School public lecture on Kidney Disease and Precision Medicine presented by Dr. Justin Chun and Dr. Dan Muruve

2021 – Presenter for Lecture Series: The World at War with a Virus - the Science Behind the Headlines – What is a Vaccine? – Online webinar hosted by the Calgary Public Library, the Infections, Inflammation and Chronic Diseases in the Changing Environment (IICD) research strategy at the University of Calgary.
