What happens?

You'll find our service liturgical in style, similar to Lutheran and Roman Catholic services, but in a more informal and collaborative setting.

What's different?

  • We sit in a circle rather than in pews.
  • The words of our liturgy reflect joy in creation and a concern for social justice.
  • Sermon time usually includes both a brief reflection aimed at adults and teens and Godly Play for children, ending with open discussion.
  • We offer bread and wine to one another each week during communion, and everyone who is hungry--young or old, friend or stranger--is welcome at the Table.

What about children?

We welcome the restless creativity of children during our regular worship service,

  • Giving them playdough, coloring pages and other items to keep their hands busy so their ears can better hear;
  • Including a special children's time into our worship service, using the principles of Godly Play;
  • Encouraging their active participation throughout the service;
  • Recognizing them as beloved and important members of our faith community.
