During  Constitution Proclamation Week, Sept. 17 – 23, Samuel Doak Chapter Chairman Barbara Baker arranged a field trip for a local group of Home School students to tour the Morristown City Center which included the Council Chamber, the Police Department, and the highlight of the trip - ringing of the replica Liberty Bell in front of the Morristown City Center.

Samuel Doak Chapter NSDAR had seven members attend the East TN Workshop at Calvary Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN

Photo L to R:  Samuel Doak Chapter NSDAR Members: Secretary Jane Hersch, prospective member Barbara Phifer , Associate Member TSDAR Service for Veterans Felicia Hix,  First Vice Regent and TSDAR Community Service Chairman Barbara Baker,  Regent Ellen Betts, Good Citizen Chairman Lynn Pack, Second Vice Regent Diane Green, and Registrar Joyce Damon attended the Tennessee State Daughters of the American Revolution’s East Tennessee Workshop held on August 2, 2014, at Calvary Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee.  This is the first of three workshops spread across the state to prepare the members for another fun filled year.  Some of the topics included: Research tips on finding women ancestors, historic preservation, information on the new forms for DAR applications, and information for new regents.
