COVID-19: Concert status update

Following the announcement by the Government of the lockdown on Monday 23 March, members of the Hertford Symphony Orchestra will no longer be meeting for rehearsals.

The Hertford Theatre is closed until 31st May 2020, therefore our concert on 17th May is now cancelled.

The Hertford Theatre will contact you if you have already purchased tickets for this concert and ask that you do not contact them directly regarding refunds.

There is a link below for further information regarding the Hertford Theatre.

We are guided by the Government's advice and will post updates when there is a change in the current status.

In the meantime we hope that everyone will stay safe during this difficult time.

Forthcoming Events

This is Tom’s sixth season as Music Director of HSO, working with the orchestra’s talented members to present stimulating concerts for Hertford.

Once again we will feature some fantastic soloists (three this season including Hertfordshire’s French Horn star Ben Goldscheider) and of course our family favourites such as the Christmas Concert and the Robert Kiln Children’s concerts.

This season we are delighted to have two new guest conductors, Johann Stuckenbruck and Peter Selwyn for our November 2019 and June 2020 concerts.

This season’s performances will be exciting, thought-provoking and fun in equal measure.

We look forward to welcoming you to our concerts.
