A Taste Of Freelance Work

I got a taste of freelance work by working on a Excel database for a health care institution. They wanted to make their schedule available in Excel and reusable. So they could fill it in every time again and again.

Excel Templates Connected Form A 'Database'

They got a few Excel templates which I connected with each other. In this Excel ‘database’ they could let each employee fill in the hours they worked. These Excel templates with the hours were connected by formulas with other Excels in which the administration department or schedule maker could keep the hours they worked and when they were paid double or 150 percent. This was when they were working more hours or on Sunday or at night.

Freelancer & Taxes

It was a challenge but they were happy with it. I had to pay a lot of taxes on this project, because it was as a freelancer and not as a zzp'er in 2009.
