5 Sources With Which I Improved My Business Skills

I am on a mission not only to improve myself, but also my business. I look everywhere for answers in ways how to do this. As I like reading it’s my primary source for learning new business skills, but recently I discovered another form! Podcast ideal for people like me who can’t read in cars and buses and have to cover a lot of ground traveling with these. Not everything I read or listen to is useful but the next 5 things I am going to share were pretty useful to me in shaping me as an entrepreneur during my travels through Asia Pasific region:

• Calimero Marketing: Good book to get to know how to do online marketing. I can’t wait to read 3.0 (Sorry, Dutch book)

• De eierdoostheorie (The egg carton theory): Book about how to prioritize and what to do first (Sorry, Dutch book)

• Waanzinnige plannen: How to realize plans: A book full of examples how people achieved their goal although nobody believed they would succeed (Sorry, Dutch book)

• Lifestyle business podcast: About 25 minutes of advice about a subjects I can encounter as an entrepreneur

• And websites/blogs from other entrepreneurs: I won’t give links to this one, because there are so many good ones. Just start reading them, just like I did.

Beauty Of Being An Entrepreneur

Besides this talking to other entrepreneurs about their experience was/is a good way to build my business in not making the same mistakes they made or do as they did in a certain situation. But the best teaching school in entrepreneurship is DOING it! It’s a harsh school and sometimes I feel like abandoning it. I can tell, I don’t! I just suck it up! And I am prepared to go on, because there are a lot of beautiful things in being an entrepreneur! Lots!

Entrepreneurship During COVID Lockdowns

A new challenge in my entrepreneurship was being an entrepreneur during the lockdowns. In 2019 with the first lockdown almost all work that was planned was suddenly canceled or postponed. The good thing was my agenda was empty! I had the time to read a lot and follow a lot of eCourses. Also I hired a business coach (Wonderlijk Werken) to make my business on the long run lockdown proof. It was a good thing to have both coaches of Wonderlijk Werken as sparring partner for the plans I had for my business and to talk to them about all I did till then with Databeet. Since then I am transferring my business to be lockdown proof. It is a lot of work, but I like it and it will be good!
