Kind of an odd way to spend the day after Christmas: pounding out a rant about the ALDF and its website. Don’t Lymees have better things to do? Oh, right. This rant is odd, but one of the truly saddest things during the holidays is finding posts on LymeNet dated early on 12/25. At least this poor nut waited 24 hours before letting loose with her bit of rambling. Why the ALDF? Why now? Maybe she had a problem with end-of-the-year prescription orders. (I guess even CVS closes on the holidays.)

Lucy Barnes—the director (and only member) of a fictitious Lyme group in Maryland—has appeared as a topic on this board a few times (viewtopic.php?t=2751). Back in 2011, this well-known mouthpiece of the Lyme Movement wrote on LymeNet:

“My biggest hope now is they don't discover any more diseases because so far my luck isn't running too good. Positive Tests: Lyme, RMSF, Babesia microti, Babesia duncani, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichiosis HE, Ehrlichiosis HME, Bartonella henselae, Bartonella Quintana, Bartonella elizabethae, Histoplasmosis, Parvo B-19, Epstein Barr Virus. My bet is people with chronic Lyme have even more infections we don't know about yet. We are finding salmonella and also trichinosis in a number of patients in this state. Go figure.”

Yeah, go figure.

I wonder what she’ll write for New Years?
