SF Art Openings Calendar (by artbusiness.com)

Alan Bamberger offers a terrific service to the SF art scene and market on his web site, artbusiness.com, including reviews and photos of current gallery and museum shows. Alan's calendar of Opening Receptions is one of the most comprehensive I've seen for SF. Below I've cobbled a geospatial version using Chad Norwood's Google Calendar Map (GCM) application. This brilliant tool superimposes a time and map selectable list of events, in this case Alan's Openings Calendar, onto Google Maps.

To use this 'Openings Map' to plan your personal art crawl change the date range in the upper right of this GCM tool. I've selected today through the coming week, but you can narrow this range by draging the start and end dates along the blue slider. The red flags can be clicked to see the event description, location and time. Or you can click on the gallery name in the calendar and the map will display info above the appropriate location. The table of events can be scrolled down to reveal more items.

NOTE (and appologies): These GCM times are 2 hours late, because the GCM site is in Chicago based (Central Time), so plan to visit these Pacific Time events 2 hours earlier than the time shown in GCM.
