Construction Update - 7/21

Mendham Township SD continues to have a very busy and productive summer.

The middle school main office asbestos abatement project is complete and went smoothly. Temporary carpet tiles have been installed, allowing the main office to be back in operation.

Mak Group, the district’s roofing contractor, is currently finishing the roof replacement at the middle school and is scheduled to begin the roof replacement at the elementary school next week (7/24), weather permitting. Despite delays due to the excessive rain and other factors, the contractors are still on track to complete both schools on schedule with the original timeline.

Spartan Construction has finished caulking windows, painting soffits, and infilling old univent exterior vents at the elementary school. Glass block windows in the elementary school’s 200 and 300 wings will be replaced with new Kalwall window panels in mid-August. The stucco in the alley by the middle school’s drama shed has also been replaced. These projects are on schedule with the timeline.
