** Parts of two chapters (17 and 18) from the following textbook will be used for this point.

Assessment regimes:

Option A:

1. Midterm test: one test covering the materials taught during the first 6 weeks of the semester, weighting 50% on the final grade.

2. A final test covering all materials taught in this course, but with more emphasis on the materials covered during the last six weeks of the semester. It has a weight of 50% on the final grade.

3. The grade in any of these tests cannot be lower than 8 points (on a scale from 0 to 20 points)


Option B:

1. One final exam: weight of 100% on the final grade.

2. Covers all materials taught during the entire semester.

3. There will be a re-sitting test for those that fail in option A or/and option B. This test includes all materials and represents 100% of the final grade.


Tests: "open book", in a computer, and using Pluto.jl notebooks

All tests in this course will be taken using a computer and the Pluto.jl interface. It means that tests will be "open book", but students must know how to use Pluto quite well. Pluto's use will be a funny, handy tool for learning, teaching, and conducting the evaluation process. We assure students that Pluto will be the less demanding part of this course but one of its most valuable items.
