Re-opening of schools

Dear Parents/ Guardians,

The Education Minister has announced that schools will be reopening from Monday 29th June. The link has already been shared with you on our Facebook Page.

The main points are :

  • All schools will reopen to all pupils from 29th June. This does not mean that all pupils will be in school at the same time : in fact they won`t be. All pupils will, however, have access to in-school learning before the end of term.
  • The summer term will be extended until 24th July. The Autumn half term holiday will be two weeks long rather than one..
  • Schools will possibly stagger starts, breaks, lunch and finish times
  • Blended learning ( both in-school and at home) will continue and will likely extend into the Autumn Term.

We are in consultation with Merthyr Tydfil Local Authority and we await further guidance from the Welsh Government next week. We will be in touch with parents as soon as possible..

Please be assured that the health and well-being of all of our pupils is of the greatest importance to us.

Alongside this message is a useful document to share with your child to reassure them about the return to school.

Please Keep Safe!
