DCF - Collaboration
We are incorporating DCF into our day to day classroom activities. This term we have been working on:
Interacting and collaborating:
- Communication
- Collaboration
- Storing and sharing.
Here are some examples of what we have done at our School.
Nursery
Check out this video that our Nursery pupils. Children made an animation of Little Miss Muffet on J2E. The children drew a part of the animation and then they put the whole animation together.

We have also look at farm animals. We learnt the song Old McDonald Had A Farm and then drew an animal on the Ipad. We then recorded our voice, making the sound of
the animal and added our names to our work.

Reception
The children worked collaboratively in their groups to innovate the rhyme from 'Superworm.' Children typed up some of the poems and then the teachers helped too.

Year 2
Children in year 2 saved worked together to make Pictograms on Purple Mash.
Luca and Kian recorded each other using the Green Screen app in ICT for our non chronological report writing.

Year 3/4
MS animations
MS Class worked with an Animator and another school - Pant Primary School to collaborate on and animation project.
Firstly the children cut out the shapes for the animation. Then they used an Ipad fixed on an arm, to take photo. They then played it through the computer.
A child clicked on the image, twice (image on glass pad) and created various animations. We created fire, fish trap and hunting scenes.
(Survival topic - Desert Island.)
The children worked groups in small groups, to create these animations. Check out the end movie below!
Year 5/6
Children were given the task to produce a biography of John Cadbury, Joseph Fry or Joseph Rowntree to fit with our topic 'Siocled!'
They worked collaboratively both in researching the person and then in producing the piece. They were allowed to choose how to present their information, either Google docs or Slides. They collaborated by sharing the document and organised the division of labour between themselves.
