2023-24 BFSC members starting off a great season with Team USA Junior Pairs skaters Adele Zheng and Andy Deng, accompanied by their coach Timothy LeDuc, who is a two-time U.S. Figure Skating National Pairs Champion and placed 8th at the 2022 Winter Olympics with his partner Ashley Cain.
About Us:
Frank Southern Bloomington Figure Skating Club is a small but mighty group of figure skaters of all genders, ages, and levels, who simply LOVE the ice. Located in Bloomington Indiana, we proudly skate in our beloved half-year Frank Southern ice rink. We all use the club ice to practice skills such as jumps and spins, learn ice dance patterns, develop choreography for a few competitions and shows, and sometimes just enjoy taking some laps around the ice. No matter what each skater is doing, we all enjoy cheering one another on and having fun together.
Competitions and exhibitions are never mandatory, although many skaters enjoy the challenge and thrill that comes with these events with their teammates. Full members may test levels, which encourage skaters set goals, learn new skills, and improve! Click around our site to learn more about the membership rates and how to purchase skate passes. Families also participate in fundraising to keep our club thriving. We sell flowers and handmade skating-themed gifts at skating events, organize dine-to-donate evenings at local restaurants, and encourage local business to advertise at the rink by purchasing dasherboard space from us.
