Careers in Education

Careers in Education at the Manchester School of Technology is a two-year Career and Technical program open to junior and senior high school students from Manchester and surrounding area high schools. This program is designed for students who are interested in pursuing careers in the field of education.

Students will have the opportunity to obtain the needed skills in these careers through classroom lectures, demonstrations, observations, technology, and instructional activities. The classroom curriculum encompasses all aspects of education which includes units in language arts, math, art, nutrition, health, safety, positive guidance techniques, and development from birth to adolescence. Students also create developmentally appropriate lesson plans that are then conducted with school-aged children.
