STEM flyer.pdfRS & Early College, Flyer 2021.pdfManchester Community College has established an Early College initiative that specifically allows NH high school students to take MCC credit-bearing courses. The credits students earn through Early College at Manchester Community College can be applied to a degree at MCC or possibly transfer to another college or university. This program allows students to get a jump on college classes at a reduced rate! Please Note: To qualify for Early College, students must be at least 16 years old.(Juniors and Seniors) Cost per class is 50% of tuition due at the time of registration - lab fees apply for some courses. Students are also expected to pay for their own books and/or materials. (STEM scholarships may apply) Students are required to meet with their high school guidance counselor to discuss their interest in the early college program. Students will also be required to meet with a MCC representative who will make sure the Early College Registration is completed and students are signed up for the correct course. Classes begin January 18, 2022.

College Recommendations
Part of your college application will include recommendations written by your teachers and/or guidance counselors. Please be sure to ask for the recommendations well in advance.

SAT/ACT
Many colleges and universities require that you take a standardized test and provide the results along with your application. The two tests generally used are the SAT and the ACT. For information about the difference between the two tests, visit the Princeton Review website.

Scholarships
There are thousands of scholarships available. Do NOT pay for scholarship information! Any scholarship that asks for a fee may be fraudulent! Please check with the Career Center office with any questions.

Stephen Education Fund - Available to any senior planning to attend college, community college, university, technical school, or a certificate program.
New Hampshire Charitable Foundation - The largest provider of publicly available scholarships in NH, awarding more than $5 million dollars to 1,500 promising students each year. Students fill out one application, and are matched automatically with all scholarship opportunities for which they qualify. Many awards are renewable for each year that a student is in school.
Financial Aid
College is expensive, and scholarships don't always cover the entire cost of tuition. However, there is often financial aid available to students and families. Visit NHHEAF.org for details about how to pay for college.
In order to qualify for financial aid, students and families will need to fill out the FAFSA form. This can be done online at the official FAFSA website. Filling out this form is FREE.
