How to reach Venice

By Plane:

We suggest to use one of the two bus services: ACTV line 5 (~30 minutes; 10€) or ATVO VENEZIA EXPRESS line 35  (~20 minutes; 10€).
Both reach the bus station in Piazzale Roma, at 10 minutes walk  from San Giobbe.

Another option is to take the public boat link ALILAGUNA Line A (~40 minutes; 15€), which connects the airport to the stop Guglie, 5 minutes away from San Giobbe.

Alternatively, you can take a taxi to Piazzale Roma, and then walk to San Giobbe. The service is operated by Radio Taxi Venezia (+39 041 5964 for info and bookings).

We suggest to use the express bus service provided by ATVO to reach Piazzale Roma (~1h, 12€), and then walk to the campus.

Alternatively, you can take a taxi to Piazzale Roma. The service is operated by Radio Taxi Treviso (+39 0422 431515 for info and bookings).

Bus companies like Flixbus typically offer convenient links to Venice on a daily basis.

By Train:

Venice’s main train station, Venezia Santa Lucia, connects the city with many other Italian cities. In order to find the most convenient train connections to Venice and ticket prices, please visit the Trenitalia or Italo websites. Once you arrive at the Venezia Santa Lucia Station, you can easily reach San Giobbe on foot.

By Car:

The city centre of Venice is car-free; nevertheless, anybody coming to Venice by car can reach Piazzale Roma and leave it in one of the available parking lots:

How to get around Venice

Venice is car-free, so the city may either be visited on foot or by water buses (“vaporetto”). More information on public transport may be found at https://www.veneziaunica.it/en/content/public-transport.

Where to stay in Venice

You can find the following hotels nearby the campus:

Alternatively, online housing platforms provide solutions all over the island.

In case such solutions were unavailable or inconvenient, we suggest looking for accomodations on the mainland part of the city (Mestre, Marghera, Favaro Veneto) or in nearby towns (e.g. Mogliano Veneto) which are readily connected to Venice with public transport (see ACTV website for buses, and Trenitalia for trains)
