Kuniba-ha Shito Ryu Karatedo

Shogo Kuniba has trained other Karate do Style than Shito Ryu, like Ryukyu Karate do, which was the style of Choki Motobu, Ryuei Ryu and Shorin Ryu. He had also trained other Martial Arts like Judo, Aikido. However, He named his style Motobu-ha Shito Ryu, which was the results of what he had learnt from his father and Mabuni, and since his father was student of Choki Motobu he took the name of Motobu and since he trained directly with Mabuni, he took Mabuni's Shito Ryu and named it Motobu-ha Shito Ryu. Later Kuniba altered his Motobu-ha Shito Ryu based on his knowledge and competences that he obtained from other styles and martial arts. He developed a new type of karate do Style and called it Kuniba-ha Shito Ryu. Therefore, Kuniba-ha Shito Ryu Katas are not the same with those of Shito Ryu, but updated according to Kuniba's arts. He also has invented some new basic katas for the beginners.
