SNCAT celebrates World Teacher’s Day 2021

Surigao del Norte- One with the world, The Surigao del Norte College of Agriculture and Technology (SNCAT) celebrated the World Teachers’ Day through a Teacher’s Tribute Party highlighting and recognizing the meritorious contribution of all the TVET Educators of the institution held at the library room yesterday.

The celebration was spearheaded by the College Administrator II, Ms. Abegail B. Eupeña through the Human Resource Section. Highlighted during the event were distribution of cakes, flowers and a get-together cocktail inspired food-party. More than 30 TVET Educators (Trainers, Support Trainers and Diploma Subject Teacher) had individually received a cake roll with a stalk of rose.

Timely for this year’s theme “Teacher’s at the heart of education recovery”, Ms. Eupeña emphasizes in her message the importance of teachers in our continuous nation building amidst facing the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Each of you here shoulder the responsibility of nurturing the learners with wisdom, skills and the right attitude towards life even if it means consuming your own light jus to give brightness to their future.”

“Your resilience and innovativeness are crucial factors in ensuring that we will continue to perform our mandate of delivering quality-assured Technical-Vocational Education Training and Certification System especially to the underserved, unreached and marginalized yet deserving fellow kababayans”, she added.

She also extended her heartfelt gratitude and salute to all trainers and instructors for continuously serving as stronghold in making a difference in the lives of the trainees/students honed in this institution since the very beginning.

“Indeed, I am a living witness of your hard work and committed service. You crossed rivers, climbed mountains, sailed in oceans and walk miles away from your family just for the sake of the training and the trainees. And every time I call your attention just to ensure strict compliance of our training; listening to all your sentiments-how you overcome and made the training successful, it made me stand proud of your noble deeds!”

Lastly, the said trainers and instructors pledged to renew their TVET Trainer’s Creed commitment. Afterwards, sealed their commitment by affixing their signatures on the creed sheet.

Truly, a teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.” – Henry Adams
